The film The Accordionist's Son (Soinujolearen semea / El hijo del acordeonista, 2018), directed by Fernando Bernués, will open the 17th San Sebastian Human Rights Festival, organised by the City Council's Human Rights Department and Donostia Kultura, on April 5 at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre.

The film By the Grace of God (2019), directed by François Ozon, will close the festival on April 12th, in a night where the Palestinian director Annemarie Jacir will receive the Human Rights Film Festival Award.

30 feature films, 23 short films, 4 exhibitions and other activities will be at this year's program

L'Atelier

The 16th Human Rights Film Festival of San Sebastian will open on April 20th at the Victoria Eugenia Theater with the Swiss film The Divine Order (Die göttliche Ordnung, 2017), directed by Petra Volpe. The festival, organized by the City Council's Human Rights Department and Donostia Kultura, will be presented from 20 to 27 April.

The film L'Atelier (2017), directed by Laurent Cantet, will close the festival on April 27th, in a night where the French director will receive the Human Rights Film Festival Award.

Glory

On 31st March at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre the Egyptian film Clash / Eshtebak (2016), directed by Mohamed Diab, will open the 15th San Sebastian Human Rights Film Festival, organised by the City Council's Human Rights Department and Donostia Kultura. The Bulgarian film Glory (2016), directed by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov, will close it.

Two of the 10th Human Rights Film Festival photographic exhibitions are now open

Missing

Two of the photographic exhibitions running at the 10th Human Rights Film Festival, to take place from April 20-27, are now open. The exhibitions Schools from other worlds, by Kim Manresa, has been on at the Aiete Culture Centre since January, and Gervasio Sánchez’s Missing started running yesterday at the Okendo Culture Centre. Both are currently open for viewing.
